In reply to Van ham.

Hi, sorry for the belated reply, we had technical problems with the site...I'm wondering what you did here. About patching - is the leak close to the seam or on the very seam? If it's not on the seam, is the surface where the leak is flocked?

I'm asking because different techniques of patching apply depending on the leak location and the surface. If the surface is flocked you'd have to use fine sandpaper on it until you reach the PVC part and then use dedicated adhesives or strips. Classic glue rarely work because vinyl has surface oils that chemically interact with the glue. The vinyl-dedicated adhesives typically include chemicals to prevent that reaction - that stabilizes the bond.

Our recommendations are:

For flocked surfaces and pinholes - Coghlan's Airstop - here's a link to the product on amazon.

For smooth surfaces and larger tears - Tear Aid Type B - you can see it on amazon here.

I hope this helps - do let us know if you have more questions or about the results.

Cheers
